Being a game developer, designer or tester opens up a whole world of possibilities in producing computer, console, arcade games handheld, online and mobile phone applications. As part of the job role you will have to create art and animation works to develop games. This multibillion pound industry has lots to offer in terms of versatile and exciting job roles that will challenge you daily. The stages in developing a game normally consist of the creation process, designing how it will be played, animating the characters and creating the sounds. Afterwards you will need to test your game before it is sent to the commercial market. There are many roles you can undertake as a gaming specialist such as:

creating concepts, ideas and designs for games

Game developers normally earn around £12,000 to £35,000 within the UK. When you gain experience in the industry salaries can rise to around £35,000 - £70,000 or as you move into more specialised roles such as technical directors, developers, producers and team managers.
